Yes they're using a statistically weaker suit, but they'd be a bigger determent if they ran out and died in a 650 ZZ. Allowing for below cost actually gives your team some leeway when it comes to the noobs as their deaths are less consequential. You'll throw the game regardless of what cost you pick if you have no idea how to play. Dumb players who have no idea how to play the game are what throws the match. Their excuse is that not picking max cost is throwing the game but this couldn't be further from the truth. They'll have an aneurysm if you even pick 50 below. You're still basically restricted to the max cost, and that's before you start running into elitists who will quit the lobby if the suit you pick isn't meta or max cost. While you can still pick 100 below for quick, and 50 below for rated this isn't enough of a difference to matter. personally this makes the whole cost system pointless in my mind. You used to be able to bring in anything that was below the cost but the player base whined about it until the devs removed it as an option. ![]() not to mention some costs just never come around so you're left with a certain range of suits just taking up space. mainly because it's very limiting for newer players given they don't have any or a good selection of suits for a certain cost. Truthfully, I've always hated how the game shuffles cost restricted modes the way it does.
